Having Done All Stand2

Psalm11vs3
When the foundations are destroyed what can the righteous do?

Matthew7vs 24-27
There every one who hears these words and puts them into practice is like a wise man who builds his house on the rock.
Verse 25-------The rain came down, the streams rose and the winds blew and best against the house yet it did not fall, because it had it's foundation on the rock.

Verse26------the foolish man built his house on the sand, Vs27,----the rain came down , the streams rose and the wind blew against that house and it fell with a great crash.

Standing firm, is not a problem when you are standing on a rock that is solid , unmoveable, a sure foundation. There is only one thing in all of creation that is a sure foundation , it is the  Word of God.  The word of God created every thing and by the word creation is sustained and upheld, in the same manner the believer can only stand firm  by the word of God.   There is a desperate need for  hunger and thirst for the word of God in the heart of the individual believer.     O lord our God, let your word and the knowledge of the word cover the church and the world as the water covers the sea.

One of the main reasons we are weak and unable to stand in these evil times that we live in, it's because christians have come to stand on their cultural ethos, philosophies, and of course the media.
In this era of power point presentations, and bible apps, there many believers who do not know and have completely neglected reading the bible for themselves. As some body told me recently it is no longer cool to carry a bible. Many ministers have also come to depend on their  revelations, dreams and interpretations, forgetting it is written the bible is beyond private personal interpretation. It is divinely inspired and as John1vs1 puts it is God Himself. For many even in the church, the bible has become just another book, but for some of us, the bible is a treasure.

Every foundation that man put up for Himself will be destroyed without fail. But the foundation of  God stands sure for ever, no rain or storm, or wind can destroy the Rock. Like the two houses in Jesus parable, the same natural disaster hit  both houses but one stood the other was destroyed..

So I ask again what are you standing on?.your ability to stand having done all depends entirely on your foundation.  It should no longer be news to every believer the fashion of this world is passing away  fast,  so why are we still holding on to them as if our lives depend on them. When the foundations are destroyed the righteous need not fear, but trust on the foundation that never fails.  Trust is much more than a Greek ,Hebrew  or Latin interpretation , it is the life wire of the believer.

David was asked several times to run and hide in his checkered life, but he refused , and they said to him what you believe in. the person you held on to , the institutions you trusted they are all gone. But David like Nehemiah and Paul knew something, their trust on the sure word of God tried in the furnace of the earth seven times. This was the anchor for their soul  that is steadfast, secure and firm.  David answered in verse 4     The  Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord is in His heavenly throne, He observes the sons of men, His eyes examines them.  This is the Word of God settled forever in heaven.  This is the confidence  these men had in their time that we should have today in the word.

Standing on the word of God is standing on the integrity of God , it is depending on His person ,
His character, and of His past record of faithfulness. When Sarah heard the promise of God to her to have a son in her old age while she sat behind her husband's tent, scriptures said in Hebrews 11 '' she counted Him faithful who had promised; and so she received strength to bring forth a son in her old age'.  Sarah saw beyond the words or the letter if you please, she saw the God of the spoken word, the One whose voice she heard as He spoke with her husband, this was her husband's friend, He can be trusted and depended upon.

Very recently, my foundations were broken down, the most important thing i held dear  after my salvation, was my husband and our marriage. If you had told me a few years ago i would have said it's not possible. my husband of 21years  told me and my children he was divorcing me and there after went public with it. I was shocked, could not say a word but
cry. Am here today writing about it because God's word kept me from falling apart. Every day the word was fresh, new, bringing hope and assurance that it is well with my soul.  Like David in psalm 119, i kept a watch just to read my bible and pray, when i could not sleep and there were many nights like that, i read whole books. since 2009, i read the bible twice a year. The more i read the more i became stronger and by last year when my husband went public i was ready to stand and see what God will do. Beloved; God is real and nearer than we can ever imagine, the tears dried, the fear left, peace flooded my heart. I can say now that truly all things works together for the good of those who love Him and are called by His purpose.  Am standing, not because of my strength, the truth be told there so many times i almost gave up, but i remembered my children, the church Jesus died for, for years i taught God's people to fight for their families, so am not giving up on mine, no not without fight.  But because God is always standing, the Rock, unshakeable  and inmoveable, an anchor reaching to the very heavens. He has began a good work in me and He will complete and perfect it.

Time will fail me to share the specific words, but what stood above all was John2 vs11, 'This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee and manifested forth His glory and His disciples believed on Him'.   I can write a whole book on John 2.     Is my story peculiar  definitely not, thousands of families around the world are going the the same challenge, and many have stood and become victorious.  You too can be victorious but first you must stand on the everlasting word of God. In psalms 105, the bible told a story of  the joseph,  the man that was to save his whole family and posterity, was first sold as slave and he was throne into prison. In verse 19 the bible explains  ''until the time that his word came; the word of the Lord tried him''.    The word that was to give him victory, first tried him, shook his foundation but Joseph stood ,  will you also stand?. for your victory and promotion is in your standing.

In Genesis 37 , Joseph had received a word for his promotion. The rain came, the storm rose and the wind blew vehemently, but Joseph stood.   what are you standing on, your parents, money, wealth, position, remember 1929 and 2008.
Today begin with a decision i will stand on the sure word of God because in the words of the faithful saints of old------Our faith is built on nothing else, but Jesus Christ[the word becoming flesh] and His righteousness.  we dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ the solid Rock we stand, all other ground is sinking sand.

Yes we dare to stand .
