It's already 23th of january with less than 10 days to go in the month. where are we with God so far this year.Are we already loosing the spark of the fire that we lighted early in the year?. It is not too late to stoke up the fire again.It is for this reason ,am talking to you about Bethel again.
Bethel is not just the house of God,it is the house God built for Himself to dwell.
So it is called ElBethel. For our prayer life to be consistent and be on fire, we must deliberately,consciously,ask the HolySpirit to build a house that the Trinity will dwell. For effective fervent prayers that will avail much is only possible by the power of the HolySpirit. All through scriptures men and women who encountered God, and were able to pray to change destinies,nations,all had a bethel experience.
Abraham had mount moriah, -------------Moses had the burning bush and mount Sinai, ----Elijah's mount carmel, --Ezekiel's River Chebar, Paul's Arabian desert, Peter's mount olivet, the list is endless. For jacob it was penniel ,but most imporantly, bethel. All these places ,were just geography until God chose them to encounter His servants ,reveal Himself to them, and transform their lives for ever.
If we want to go beyond rituals,to experience ,encounter or according to Daniel 'a knowing' ,which he experienced in his room with windows facing Jerusalem in the hour of prayer. But when his prayer room was transformed to a ElBethel,his life changed, several times he was able to save himself, and his companions from certain death because of his bethel encounters.
The disciples upper room became an ElBethel on the day of Pentecost. Remember that was just somebody's loft, or a large covered patio big enough to hold a 120 disciples.. we have to hold onto God and refuse to let Him until,there is an ElBethel in our own lives and experiences.
Geography is not the issue here,it is the Presence of the Omnipresent and Omniscient One that makes the difference. what we know as the Asuza revival began when a man desperate for God ,turned an old barn to be become a holy ground,and it soon became an Elbethel indeed for generations to encounter,as the HolySpirit came down and filled that old barn.
In the next 8days,pray this one prayer with all your heart,,--''Lord i surrender ,come and build a Bethel in my life,let my life and my prayer room become your ElBethel.,God's house for God.''Let it be a strong desire that will consume us ,think it every day,and also speak it to Him every day am or pm.
May ElBethel become your experience and reality.
