God Strugglers

Happy New year once again.I pray that God will remember you this year ,and cause His face to shine upon you.That His glory and His beauty will be seen upon you.

    

        One of my favorite people in the world,said to me just yesterday to make my write ups shorter and in bite size,because this is a generation on the move ,with too much to do and little time for long indept spiritual essays.  I must confess that he is right ,am one of those long winded people particularly when it comes to  the things of God,am so passionate that i can go on all day  and all night if possible. my husband has also told me the same thing,and he is right.

   So forgive my long windedness,and  since this  is  the new year ,we will try to make it brief to be compartible with this generation..

    

        This year more than anything else ,God wants us to passionately fervently pursue Him,as a young man will pursue the love of his life. As christians  we need to be peaceful and quiet ,but not passive.Too many christians today are too passive for comfort,particularly when it concerns seeking God.  But this is not what we find in scriptures or even in the lives of  fathers of the church. They in one word ,'God strugglers'.For this is the literal translation of  Israel'.Today believers are called the Israel of God----Galatians6vs16.  we are of those who have struggled with God and have prevailed like our father jacob.

       In genesis 32vs23 it is written,Jacob was left alone and a man wrestled with him all night',-----and God blessed him there'. To struggle ,is to be passionate ,and persistent,consistent  in your pursuit of God ..   It is to hold on to God with all of your strength,as if your life depends on it ,because truly your life depends on God.
     
Jacob knew his brother Esau was coming for him with a armed band of 400 men. so he had to first wrestle with God.  Many of us today are afraid of esau and his armed men,like jacob,but unlike jacob ,we have  not struggled with God. we think we can face Esau in our strength,the result often times have been failure ,defeat and destruction.
   
There will be many Esau's this year,but if you will become a God struggler, Esau does not stand a chance against you.  For your wrestling with God says to God;;;;;;; I trust in you absolutely, I depend upon you only, more importantly it is a passionate cry for transformation of your life of failure, defeat,hopelessness.
   Your struggle with God tells Him you are serious with your faith and walk with God.  The thing  is God loves those who will dare to wrestle with Him,they have a special place in  His heart and plans.It's not too late ,start now,and you will have an incredible,adventure this year with God.Your faith is an adventure with God, it's not suppose to be passive and boring.
     
2012 is the year of the God strugglers ,i challenge you ,Be One'.
