If my People

A wonderful Easter celebration to you, and yours. May you experience this year the power that is inherent in the death and resurrection of our and savior Jesus Christ.

2chronicles7vs14------''If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face ,and turn from their wicked ways then will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land''. Easter is what makes us God's people ,and if we are His people then God has called us to do something here on the earth while we wait for His return. This text is quoted regularly in our churches, so lets take a closer look as we continue to pray for the coming of the kingdom of God.  This word was given by God to king Solomon at the dedication of the temple.This word is still very much applicable to us today.

In our cathedrals this is what God wants us to do if He is indeed the Lord of our churches. If we are His people indeed then,we must take the next step to come closer still, by humbling ourselves. For the reason intercession is scarce in our churches is the absence of the spirit of  'humility'. Humility is the direct opposite of pride, haughtiness,arrogance  and self assertiveness. Humility is the reflection or expression of deference and submission. when we are humble then the things of the kingdom will be our primary concern,the things that break the heart of God will also break our hearts. Humility will always bring us to our faces before  God when we hear what is going on in our families,cities,nations. Nehemiah was in the kings palace in Persia,but when he heard that the walls of Jerusalem were broken down, and the gates burnt, he began to weep and mourn,that led him to fasting and intercessions for Jerusalem and the remnants. Nehemiah1vs3       ''And they said to me the remnant that are left in captivity ------are in great affliction and reproach; the walls of Jerusalem is broken down and the gates thereof are burnt with fire''.


In verse5 Nehemiah began to pray ,he stood in the place of the remnant in their shame and reproach and repented.  Nehemiah was more concerned about the remnant than about himself,his job in the kings palace,or his  comfort. He identified with the plight of his people. For the humble their concern for others is so strong they are willing to take risks. Esther's famous statement,shows the true heart of humility.It's not about me anymore ,it's about the kingdom.From Abraham to Moses,Nehemiah,Esther, the prophets,and the apostles in the New Testament,  all had one thing in common ,they were humble,and the risked every thing even unto their lives for the sake of the kingdom.

Effective fervent prayers begins  right here with a heart of humility.At the height of his power ,Esther10 simply describes Mordecai as the man who ''sought the prosperity and welfare of his people --the Jews.
Before we start praying for our cities,nations,let's first pray, Lord create in me a humble heart,that will be moved by the need of others . For the kingdom to come it must be carried on the shoulders of humility.

Right now the needs of your church ,the pain and suffering in your community,the sin of the nation,the collapse of the economy,the rise in human trafficking is greater than our own personal needs.'' If my people called by my name will humble themselves and pray---'' This is the year for the manifestation of the kingdom of God,so lets humble ourselves and pray. Thefore before you sit down to have your Easter feast, take a walk round your community and ask God to open your to see what He sees,and you will be amazed,then you can pray.
He is Risen.

Thy Kingdom Come3

Welcome to April 2012.It will be a good month for the kingdom of God to come into our lives,families,cities and nation. For it's a great month ,It"s my first sons birthday this month. April for me is a kingdom month ,as i beseech God for my son's generation to be  a generation of kingdom seekers,true worshipers, kingdom minded generation. Incidentally my son's name is Joshua,so for years have been praying for him and his generation that will experience the full manifestation and power of the kingdom of God.  so for the sake of  all our Joshuas' let us all pray  ''Thy kingdom come O Lord and Thy will be done''.

In genesis4vs26,the story goes that after Cain had killed Abel,and Cain himself had been banished by God, He still had mercy and gave Adam and Eve another son whom Eve called Seth,''for God she said has  appointed me another seed in the stead of Abel''. And in verse 26 it says ''--------- then men began to call on the name of the LORD'' . Every generation has something unique about it ,either it can abandon,reject,neglect God or it will embrace God fully and completely. Seth did something for his generation that all eternity will remember; ' men began to call on God, meaning they went beyond acknowledgement of the existence of God,to knowing that they can communicate with Him through prayers and worship,and had a relationship with God their creator.

Adam and Eve rebelled against God,the rebellion continued in their son who took it a step further and became the very first murderer,but some body came, the forth man from Adam who said enough already' and dare to chose a different path.That was Seth's Thy kingdom come O Lord.  Brethren how many of us will dare dare to stand and say 'enough already',of  this present kingdom of sin,evil,fear,death,pervertion, poverty,disease,and wickedness in high and low places that we have in this generation.  God has freely offered His kingdom to all that will believe and come to Him, and to say i will choose God's kingdom of life and  peace.

I  desperately want for my generation to be the one that will pray without ceasing this prayer of  the Lord,'Thy kingdom come, and experience a spiritual revival,and a renewal of  our cities and nations,where God will be acknowledged and honored in every sphere of life,culture,politics,economy,social. But it has to begin with you and i ,to call on God and say 'Thy kingdom come'.  so who can join me this Easter in the next eight days to pray this prayer only .Your emphasis can be on your community,city, nation,or even your family.Take your eyes away from yourself,your needs etc and focus on someone else as the Lord leads.Your emphasis can also be for your church.

Lord help us in the next eight to just  pray your heart concerning the kingdom.And as we celebrate your resurrection on Sunday ,may we also experience it in our lives.Until next time ,''Thy kingdom come O Lord''

''So He said He will destroy them-----had not Moses His chosen one stood in the breach before Him to keep His wrath from destroying them''
 The Kingdom of God and all that it entails is ready to invade our lives, families, cities,and nations-----all that modern man is seeking today---------salvation,peace love,security,healing and health,prosperity; is part and parcel of the kingdom. For the kingdom is Jesus Christ as king of kings ,Lord of Lords,reigning and ruling in every sphere of life,today,tomorrow,and forever.

God has through Christ chosen the believer and the church,''as a holy nation of priests to stand in the breach just like Moses did, to stay the hand of God's judgement for the ravaging consequences of sin,and release the manifest blessings of the kingdom of God. But God is still searching since man was created to find men and women who will say with Isaiah ''Here am i send me''. Right now because of the pervading nature of sin in this generation,and the fury of the devil who knows his time is short,and so is raging and roaring more than before seeking to steal,kill,and destroy,there is in the heaven an urgent call for intercessors,breach repairers,wailers.

Will God find you in your family,in your city,and nation,to stand in the gap for God's kingdom to come.who will see the bigger picture of God and His kingdom,who will defend God's honor in your family,city and nation like Phinehas did and stopped the destroying plague?. Who will say with Esther ''It is not according to law,but i will go and see the king,and if i perish,i perish.

Will you rise up today with willing heart  to put aside your convinence your comfort,
like Esther put off her royal robes for sack cloth and ashes,will you take a  risk with God for your family,church,city. What would you do?. If evil men will take a vow to kill the apostle Paul,what  will you do so the full manifestation of the kingdom will come to your family,community,and nation?

Until next time please join me this Easter to pray ''Thy kingdom come  O Lord ,thy will be done''.For this is only reason for Easter.He was born ,died and rose again that,that the Kingdom of God will come to you,your family,city,nation and uttermost part of the world. so before you shop for Easter and celebrate,ask yourself this question,has the kingdom come to someone else other than me

O lord my God,ever so merciful and loving and mighty to save,today i join you to pray as you have taught us two thousand years ago,''Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on the earth --------''.

Thy Kingdom Come

It's been while i made any entry.But must say am glad to be back. The year that just began has been fast and furious as it were with so much happening all around the world.

But one  thing that has remained constant in God's mind is the church's responsibility to pray for the coming of the kingdom of God.  The kingdom is here, it was the Lord's signature declaration when ever there was healing ,miracles,deliverance,salvation,
He  would always say 'the kingdom of God is near you'. what does it mean for us today, ''that the reign and rule of our Lord Jesus will be made manifest in our daily lives, and society at large.

For this to happen we must take it as priority as Jesus taught us to do.After He  had acknowledged the  Fatherhood of God and hallowing His name, He said pray that the kingdom of God will come. This should be the emphasis of our prayer meetings.

Am  beginning to understand the word of God in Ezekiel22vs30 '' I looked for a man among them who will build up the walls and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so i will not destroy it,but i found none'' In vesrse31 He went on to say He will destroy the land. Before we start blaming God for all the evil that is happening around us lets ask our selves, have i been standing in the gap for my community ,my city, my nation,and my larger family. The bible says Abraham drew near-closer to God,and asked God to save Sodom and Gomorha,God has just told him how sinful these cities were but that did not stop Abraham from pleading for deliverance and salvation.

Abraham,Moses,the prophets,and apostles knew something about God that we desperately need to learn.God is gracious,merciful,always willing and mighty to save if there will be intercessors. In forty years of Israel's journey through the wilderness,Moses was always found on his face before God telling Him not to destroy Israel.God even offered Moses to make him a new nation in the stead of Israel, Moses said no.To Moses,it was all about God's people--the kingdom; we also saw Abigail a wife standing between her husband and death,taking the blame for her husband.She said to David who wanted to kill her husband and her family,''let this guilt be on me----------''.Paul was similarly minded when he said in Romans9vs3 ''For i wish that i myself were cursed and cut off for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race''. This beloved is the mind of our Lord Jesus the greatest intercessor and that of all others after Him.This mind should also be in us.,

It's not about you anymore but about the will of God. when God reigns and rules in the affairs of men on the earth, beloved that's why we are still on the earth. Today as you hear His voice, forget about yourself,draw near to God and stand  declare ''let thy kingdom come and your will be done'',in my generation, my city, and my nation.

Down At His Feet

Surely ,you  O Lord have loved your people. All the holy ones are in your hands
At your feet they all bow down and receive from you instructions;;;;
These instructions are not just idle words;;they are our live,for by them we live long----------''deuteronomy32vs47-33vs3.

At His feet she was able to touch the hem of His garment,and to her amazement ,she was healed.Her pain,shame,because sickness had made her an outcast,was left at  His feet. And He said who touched me?.Those at His feet can not be hidden for too long .At His she received grace to touch Him and her touch made her to be known by Him. At His feet virtue and power flowed down to heal her.

.

They criticised and judged her by her past ,but  at His feet she found succour ,and refuge from the shame of her past.Eyes filled with tears ,heart beating,she did not hear the noise of the merry making dinner crowd,she was at His feet nothing else matters she was safe there.

At His feet she bowed to make intercession for her child. And at His feet she found faith to believe in Him and refused to let go ,until He blessed her there.

While others were busy cooking for Him,she sat at His feet to worship and listen to Him teach the word of this life ,that has power to save her unto the uttermost.

At His feet Elijah heard the sound of the aboundance of rain,and declared it to a nation waiting for the good news after three years of drought.

At His feet ,Isaiah saw the glory of the Lord lifted high ,and heard His voice saying whom shall I send-----''

To be close to His heart you have to first experience  the power being at His feet.
we have not accomplished much today because there are few at His feet.
where are you child of God,or better still where do you want to be?.  Apostle James said,it is those who are His feet ,that are lifted up.Intercessors are of the fellowship of the bended Knees---------are you one?.

Remember He bent down to save you ,He is also looking down to raise those at His feet to higher ground. Let's meet at His feet the highest ground of all.

On My knees

Am ending January with the burden of ElBethel still in my mind. And as i thought it i imagine Jacob on his knees anointing the stone  which he had set as memorial for God's house with oil,or pouring a drink offering on it.. Either way it speaks of sacrifice and commitment which we lack but desperately need in this generation.

Have been dealing with some pains in my knees,and haven made a  commitment to God to kneel in prayers so long as i can walk.That morning i struggled out of bed and went on knees,and this conversation ensued------------

Make your prayer Room A Bethel

 It's already 23th of january with less than 10 days to go in the month. where are we with God so far this year.Are we already loosing the spark of the fire that we lighted  early in the year?.  It is not too late to stoke up the fire again.It is for this reason ,am talking to you about Bethel again.

      Bethel is not just the house of God,it is the house God built for Himself to dwell.
    So it is called ElBethel.  For our prayer life to be consistent and be on fire,  we must deliberately,consciously,ask the HolySpirit to build a house   that the Trinity will dwell. For effective fervent prayers that will avail much is only possible by the power of the HolySpirit. All through scriptures men and women who encountered God, and were able to pray to change destinies,nations,all had a bethel experience.
