Is There Not A Cause?

Acts12vs1-5--------------"Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.    And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.       3  and because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.------------Peter therefore was kept in prison : but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him."

In quick succession the young church had suffered the martyrdom of their vibrant leaders; first was Stephen, and then James. As the young church responded in fear, but when Peter was taken with plans to kill him too after the Passover, the church had had enough, they quickly overcame their fear and began to do what they had bee called and empowered to do: that is pray without ceasing, pray for God to show Himself strong; that His kingdom will come and not just for Peter to be released.
When Peter was released the story of the church changed, the continuous prayer of the believers have released the power of God,and revival had broken out all through the land.

It's time for the church to overcome her fear  and shame ,and arise with holy indignation against the Spirit of divorce that has stolen the joy of God's people rendering the church Jesus died for immobile. Pastors do not preach against divorce , those who do are apologetic  about it because it has affected and left deep scars every where from the alter to the pew. We have become hyper sensitive about the issue, and for fear of not offending the congregation we keep silent, and so daily in our churches this wicked spirit claims yet another spirit filled and blood washed believer.  No offense to the divorce recovery programs in our churches, but these programms can only go so far as good as they are. The wounds left by divorce are sometimes too deep, the scars too jaggered for the physical band aids these programmes provide. We need the balm of Gilead desperately, and then divorce recovery.

This reminds me of the advert for Beano which goes ""take Beano before and there will be no gas after"".The spirit of divorce has become like Goliath, rising up daily with all of his nine feet  shouting to the king Saul and the army of Israel " this day I defy the ranks of Israel".  On hearing  Goliath's  words Saul and all Israel were dismayed and terrified, and ran from him in great fear hiding in caves. The sound of Goliath's voice shouting defiance completely paralyzed a nation's army.         Brethren I know what it means to live in daily fear that your marriage will be the next to collapse  because I came from a broken home. I recently confessed to God that I had been afraid and to forgive me and have mercy on me. It has taken the threat of divorce in my own marriage for me take a stand with determination that my marriage will not be stastitics , It

reminds me of the familiar scripture except the Lord builds a house the builder builds but in vain, except the Lord watches the house the watch man watches but in vain.

Church it's time for us to come out of our caves of fear and terror ,and challenge this enemy of our souls, who has come to steal  to kill and destroy the beautiful gift of marriage that  God gave to us. We must stop acting like David's brothers, we  are afraid and hiding yet we present a front as if every thing is okay, until the news of the next high profile Christian divorce hits the news waves and stand, or it's your child's best friend parents to destroy the little hope we have ; Like Israel the hearts of many in the church is failing them for fear, who is next,am I next?.  There is a cause to stand up and challenge this uncircumcised Phillistine.    God loves those who have gone through divorce, He hates divorce but loves  you who are His purchased possessions. He wants divorce to be few and far removed in His church . God is infinitely good ,He will not say " who so ever finds a wife finds a good thing, or that marriage is honorable, and allow it to breed such pain and hurt, or violence and treachery as He puts it in Malachi.

Divorce has defied the church of God long enough, let no one loose heart anymore ,let's arise and do what the early church did, continuously cry out to God to intervene as we confess that this enemy is  too strong, but never too strong for Jehovah the man of war. God heard the cry of the oppressed in Eygpt,  He heard the cry of king Jehoshaphat in battle,; He heard the voice of our advocate Jesus in the days of His sojourn on the earth. Like David said there is indeed a cause to cry out,not as individuals  but as a body ,when the early church prayed as body the place where they are shoke by the power of the Holy Ghost. There is power in corporate prayer. As individuals our voices may drowned out, but as a body not even Goliath can drown our voices, we will be heard on high.

Because the name of the Lord is at stake, the covenant of marriage has God intertwined into it, so it's not about us it is more about God. More than anything else David wanted to see God magnified and not necessarily to show his own military prowess. Secondly Goliath had defied the armies of God.. This is the reason we fight as Christians ,first the Name of God ,and then the people of God. There so many wounded people in church God's heart is also broken because He is touched by the feelings of our infirmities. This is not the time to quit on God but the time to stand strong and be on His side.  Every one should arise and on a daily basis take a few minutes and pray and say NO TO DIVORCE.  Let nothing stop us,husbands, fathers, wives and mothers, children, grandparents, married or divorced,or single or remarried. This is the time for the voice of the family as God created it to be ,to be heard on high.

This is not the time for personal individual approach ,that time has passed, in this matter the American dream has failed us,as matter of fact the dream has turned to a night mare. This is kingdom matter, and in the kingdom every body is important. So am sure you agree with me now that there is indeed a cause. So will you arise like David, and the disciples in the first ceuntury chuch or you will say like David's  brother and king Saul, you are not able to fight or it's none of my business.

  6. Let not the Devil or man rejoice over this for that is fallacy in its widest imagination.Has GOD not said and will HE not accomplish HIS words. There is one out of the Hundred gone astray;that same one will be recovered and rejoined to the flock.Rejoice not O devil neither you man,for the ROD of GOD is mighty to Chase away and HIS arms ever soothing to take back. Maam, because the LORD will restore, you SHALL this year know the warmth of your Husband's bosom in the fullness of TRUE PURE Love.Again I say, rejoice not O devil
